someones own experiences can not be invalidating to your own. if you feel invalidated by how someone else identitifes, thats solely an issue you need to work through on your own. putting it onto the stranger saying its their fault is extremely rude and not how this works. identities are personal to every individual, just because someone doesnt match your experiences says nothing about their validity or yours.

Body paragraph: Ok so a little background, I got a cancer diagnosis a few years ago and I started realizing how little people appreciate their lives and the years ahead of them. So I started kidnapping them and putting them in specially engineered torture chambers designed to make them realize how far they’d go to keep themselves alive, and now I’m getting called the “jigsaw killer” even though I don’t actually kill them. But the ones who have gotten out seem really grateful and have a new lease on life and no one talks about it! AITA here?
TL;DR AITA for using torture chambers to teach people to enjoy their lives?

Title: Am i the asshole for being slightly annoyed with my friends?
Body Paragraph: So, my friends have made it pretty clear that its my fault, but i wanted to see what you guys think?? Every day i go over to different friends houses to do their chores for them (dishes, laundry, etc). Recently, my mother was hospitalized with a rare illness and i wasnt able to tend to their responsibilities. Friends have started calling me up on the phone and threatening to beat the shit out of me if i dont fold their socks and underwear for them, and to be honest Im pretty pissed off at them. I feel bad though, because ive done this for them for so long and now they have to rely on themselves with no warning, it just doesnt seem fair. Am I the asshole?
TL;DR AITA for not being able to do my friends laundry for them while my mother is dying???
